As we arrive on the scene at your property, we will do an Initial Assessment to determine the extent of water damage. Infrared imaging, hygrometers, moisture meters and temperature sensors will help us determine what has been affected and how badly the damage is or will become.
The next step is Project Planning. With our assessment data in hand, we can easily develop the most appropriate plan of action to accomplish the task of returning your business to operational status or your house to a home, again.
We implement Mobilization efforts to support our project objectives and priorities. Determining the required resources and supplemental efforts required during various phases of your project is essential. Water extraction or pumping, if required, will typically be done concurrently with the initial assessment. Selective demolition mobilization may occur while the project planning takes place.
Most initial steps include Structural Drying to ensure that whatever has affected the building has stopped. Is the leak isolated? Has the roof been temporarily dried? Has the water been shut off? Is there a way to contain the water so it does not spread to unaffected areas of the structure? Through the use of psychometric calculations, we will have the appropriate amount of drying equipment on site and will continue to work toward returning your property to pre-loss condition. Daily moisture readings will be taken from the ambient air, as well as analysis of structural elements that will ensure we achieve our baseline.
Stabilization occurs as water has been removed, selective demolition occurs and the structure is considered as bad as it will get from the damage. Mitigation of damages will begin. This is the most important milestone for the project and influences the success of the project.
Throughout the entire process, we will conduct Moisture Mapping. Target or baseline moisture levels are established by testing similar structural components in unaffected areas of the building. The daily readings are compiled into software which provides us with real-time data reports to help us determine the effectiveness of our drying efforts. The same reports provide insurance carriers necessary information to determine that we have properly dried your structure.
